Copper (Brass) die casting machine or injection machine used to manufacture copper/brass alloy die casting parts. Such as: Textile machine Copper shuttle, Tap, lead acid battery copper connector, electirc wires parts, machinery parts etc.
Copper alloy melting point is about 934-967℃, which need a copper melting furnace to molten the high melting point alloy. This function decided need a independent metal melting system, so hot chamber die casting machine is obviously unsuitable. That is the reason: why all copper die casting machine is horizontal cold chamber type?
Same as Aluminum die casting process, motlen copper alloy be shot into mould cavity, after the metal alloy solid to got a finished copper die casting part.
A manual copper die casting process just need a copper melting furnace, copper die casting/pressure inject machine, copper die casting mould/die.
Operator ladles the liquid brass alloy out from furnace, pure it into cold chamber. Cold chamber die casting machine plunger inject the liquid metal alloy to mould with high pressure. Copper alloy solid, mould open, the copper/brass die casting parts be ejected out from mould cavities. A copper injection process is finished, sprayer lubricates and cools the mould cavites, mould close, and ready to start the next copper die casting cycle.
The automatic copper die casting process consists of: copper melting furnace, auto ladling machine, auto spraying machine, auto extractor (auto die casting part pick-up machine), copper die casting/pressure inject machine, copper die casting mould/die.
Automatic copper die casting process mostly are same with manual process, the different is use auto machines or robots to ladle molten copper metal, lubricate & cool mould cavity and pick-up copper parts instead of manual labour.
All machines are controlled by PLC, the work process of machines are pre-programmed. Auto ladling robot ladles copper alloy from melting furnace, pure liquid metal into cold chamber of die casting machine. Die casting machine hydraulic system drives plunger force molten copper alloy to mould cavity. Copper solid, mold open, finished copper die casting part be eject out from mould. Auto die casting part pick-up machine catch the copper part out from die casting machine, and set the finished part in working plate or stamping machine to cut inject runner & burr. Auto sprayer inject out mould release agent with pressure to clean and cool mould cavities. Then, mould close, and start next die casting process.

For copper or brass alloy material, with high pressure injection method, normally use horizontal cold chamber die casting machine. Because hot chamber machine can not bear high temperature of molten copper.
As copper alloy melting temperature is too high, solid fast, which limit the copper parts cast range. Normally, copper cold chamber die casting machine tonnge is about 150t to 280T/300T.

Copper die casting mold need bear high temperature, high pressure in injection process. And, cooling fast after die casting. Cold heat sudden change in a short time, that cause copper die casting die life is short. Generally, a copper die casting mould life is from 30000-50000shots.
